Perhaps McClintock and Arnold are working together. Perhaps they have a deal where McClintock drops out 3 days before the election which will pump up Republicans and energize them to vote. Arnold then campaigns for McClintock for senator.

Actually, Arnold would make a better US senator, since that office is about representation.

The governor's office is about nuts & bolts policy, TM forte.

A deal already in place between Tom and Arnold is very possible.

This campaign seems to be heading down the path I predicted several weeks ago. Now all that remains is for McClintock to remain in the race until the Democrats drop their nuclear dirt. I'm willing to let it go until Monday.

On Monday, I would expect McClintock to announce that he is suspending campaigning and supporting Schwarzenegger, barring unforeseen events. If something happens to Schwarzenegger in the remaining days, then McClintock can get back in the race.
