Thank you so much for your reply!

I have a severe problem with verses out of order, out of context, in translation that is causing an Internal Server Error.

Indeed. A person can cherry pick a verse here and there and come up with a lot of troubling doctrine.

Christ made it clear that one must know the Scriptures and the power of God and must also think things through. In the following example, He shows the import of the tense of the word, am:

Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven. But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living. - Matthew 5:29-32

Paul also explains that discernment comes with maturity in our faith:

For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which [be] the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. For every one that useth milk [is] unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.

But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, [even] those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. – Hebrews 5:12-14

So how are we to know whether to listen to someone? Jesus answered that in the Sermon on the Mount:

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither [can] a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. - Matthew 7:15-20

The fruits of the Spirit are described here:

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. – Galatians 5:22-23

The bottom line to me is to ignore the Scriptural interpretations – and Spiritual advise - of anyone whose life cannot be characterized with all of the above adjectives.

I like Paul's writings. The pseudo-Paul books are less valuable, but Paul had a way of explaining things that makes perfect sense. You have to read the whole thing to see what he was really talking about. No wonder Paul is downplayed by the authorities these days; can't have people thinking for themselves or thinking they are individuals.
