Have you ever considered he is giving us weak willed, rino Mexifornians a chance to see what is important? The longer he stays in, the more influence he can exert over Arnold to address certain issues he doesn't want to face. I agree. There isn't a doubt in my mind that if Tom weren't in this race forcing Arnold to the right (well, somewhat) all we'd be hearing about is education, Prop 49, and the children.
At least some issues of substance are being discussed.
To: Fred Mertz
We now know the Demopuke line: "All Arnold had to do was show up and look good for ninety minutes." (Alan Colmes)

Arnold supports 187. Arnold opposes 187. Which way is the wind blowing?

OK, it's past my bedtime (almost 1:00) and I've had too much politics for a day - way too much excitement, going batty - catch you all tomorrow. So... please excuse the digression to FOX Babes, who rule by the way!

. McClintock doesn't deserve my vote!)
What would he have to do to deserve your vote? Refuse to sign a no-tax-increase pledge? Endorse homosexual adoptions of young kids? Promise to try to get more people to sign up for MediCal - the welfare medical program in California (Arnold said tonight that more people need to take advantage of it)? Oppose Ward Connerly's initiative to end racial check-off boxes on government forms? It sounds like, to "deserve" your vote, a fellow's got to be a pretty liberal.

Listening to Susan Estrich is even more disgusting than the Adobe/PDF commercials. She may not be much to look at but she's fun to listen to.

(Vote Mcclintock, elect bustamante)
To: isthisnickcool
Ah, good old Ross Perot. I've admitted before on this board that I voted for Ross. Back then, nobody could tell me different. I was voting Perot to make a point, by damn. And yes, Clinton got in. Back then, I did NOT feel that I had voted Clinton in. I just felt that the "idiots" who voted the other way in the Pubbie election, THEY were the spoilers. Yup, you couldn't tell me NUTTIN' back then.

To: Roscoe
Bustamante? The bald guy with the nearly all the same positions as Arnold?Didn't you just point out on posts 76 and 82 that Arnold was frequently agreeing with Tom? How does he also have nearly all the same positions as Mr. Spacely-Bustamante?
To: South40
She always sounds like she's drugged up or drunk.
To: churchillbuff
Arnold has the endorsement of dozens and dozens of conservatives and GOP groups. McNader has none. Get used to it.

(I'm voting for Arnold. McClintock doesn't deserve my vote!)
To: Lauratealeaf
If Tom McClintoxin is so smart why can't he see what we all see.....that if he stays in the dems win? If Schwarzenegger wins the Republicans lose. We all lose.
To: Lauratealeaf
If Tom McClintoxin is so smart why can't he see what we all see....that if he stays in the Dems win? Because he believes the Democratic spin, that "McClintock won the debate." We'll hear that ad nauseum. That's what the Dems want to push, so they'll push up Tom's support by a few points.

vGreat guy--but a real spoiler on this one.
I understand McC's frustration - - - sitting next to a guy (Arnold) who obviously didn't know many facts, didn't offer a consistent, coherent message (one minute he said we're spending too much, the next minute he said not enough people have signed up for medical welfare programs in California); and who came off as pretty immature in a lot of his back-and-forth with the Greek lady. Here's McClintock, a grown-up, with grown-up ideas and very articulate, who's being overlooked by a lot of so-called conservatives who've fallen for an empty-headed pretty boy who is liberal on enviro and spending issues. If I were Tom I wouldn't get out, either.
To: NYC Republican
Your drool is getting on my monitor screen. Cut it out with the FoxNewsBabes already.
To: CheneyChick
Sean is tired. He realizes that Tom doesn't "get it"..... Maybe not.
But I get it. A Schwarzenegger win is the worst possible outcome.
To: truthkeeper
Alan Colmes hasn't looked this energized in....I don't know when. He's probably going out to celebrate with his Demopuke cronies. "Viva Bustamante", I can hear it now. Thanks Tom McClintock, you're giving the governor's chair to Cruz.

The largest Republican organization in the state, the California Republican Assembly, endorsed McClintock by an over two thirds margin. Arnold apologists and facts don't mix.
