  What I've read of this thread so far was mostly talking about the altar girls, but this was the bit that jumped out at me. Among other things, what would this do to Catholic military chaplains?

  Being a Protestant myself, I can't say I'm too amused with being compared to a Black Mass in seriousness. Ah well, still no skin off my nose.

I agree, the altar girl stuff seems to be the least of it. It is also very Euro-centric in its pronouncements against clapping and dancing .... which seems strange since the largest number of practicing Catholics are not of European origin or culture.

I've lived and worked in Africa and noted the Catholic church there doing some fine work and making many convernts. But the Mass is celebrated in culturally inclusive ways. This missive seems to be dissing women and the culturally non-European in a singularly nasty tone.
