wait a minute, the voting has already started on the do not call list.

The 9th just ruled that the courts should not stop something after voting has started, and voting has started.

predictable.

the intent of this law was not really JUST to block telemarketers, but to register phones and names uncovering the privacy of the owners of unlisted phone numbers, and do it as a voluntary offering, without the necessity of obtaining a warrant. The list of exceptions to the do not call list made it virtually useless, and rather apparent that the federal intent was NOT ONLY what they said it would be.

All who listed their name and number as a "do not call", are now listed in a masssive federal registry - linking both. A Federal registry, and if you called in person, now they also have a voiceprint of about 150 MILLION americans linked to phone numbers, unlisted numbers and listed.

Now you are still on a list to call, but now you are also listed in a Federal pool of numbers, names and voiceprints easily accessible for tapping without a warrant - and you will STILL get all the calls from the "evil solicitors" that you would have before.

Pretty cool huh?

Next scam will be a way to deal with the throwaway cell phone owners. After all, we gotta know who is talking to who about what, at all times; without the encumbrance of warrants or wiretaps.
