Altering the title of the article to tell a lie.

The article shows $600,000 to an independent expenditure committee over which Tom has no control.

I did NOT alter the article. In my post, following the post of the article, I posted the chart, to which the article gives a link.

THAT shows this:

To McClintock:
-- Morongo: $520,029
-- Sycuan: $71,200
-- Peskanta: $10,000
-- Cuyaipapa: $2,500
Total: $603,729

Yep, depends on what the meaning of is is.

I'd be concerned if I really thought that your sentiments were sincere, but we both know the truth, now don't we?

"The article shows $600,000 to an independent expenditure committee over which Tom has no control."

===

That is nonsense. While technically it may be true, it's just to get around the contribution limitations. McClintock could have openly and officially rejected that and request they don't do it.

But he is accepting it.

As I said, so much for his ideological purity and principles.

Especially since he knows -- as everyone else knows -- that the tribes are really supporting Bustamante and are only giving money to McC for the specific purpose to keep Schwarzenegger from winning.

Check this out:

====

"Key Indian tribes aren't satisfied with pumping more than $5 million into Mr. Bustamante's campaign. Polls suggest that Mr. Bustamante has stalled, so the only way to prevent a surge from Republican Arnold Schwarzenegger may be to shift some of his conservative support to maverick State Sen. Tom McClintock, who is running between 14% and 18% in the latest surveys. Last Friday the Morongo Band of Mission Indians began airing independent-expenditure ads in support of Mr. McClintock.

"Sources tell me they have seen a memo from David Quintana, the legal counsel for the California Nations Indian Gaming Association, that was sent to tribal leaders. In it Mr. Quintana raised a warning flag about Mr. Schwarzenegger's positions and his reliance on several aides to former governor Pete Wilson, a skeptic on the expansion of Indian gambling. "This is war, we're going after Arnold Schwarzenegger," the memo concluded. The decision to invest in an effort to stop Mr. Schwarzenegger was made at a private strategy meeting last month, from which several more-moderate tribes were excluded. Participants discussed the need to keep Mr. McClintock in the race on "life support."

Now, you know the rules:

Schwarzenegger is evil, even if all he does is breathe.

McClintock is above all criticism, because he checks the right theoretical box on abortion, even though he's pledged not to initiate any change on it.

Didn't you get the memo?

Pull another one.You have this weird fixation that making it appear independent is somehow the same thing.Just when did you fall off the turnip truck? The best corruption is done right in front of your face, though some, like you, will do anything to pretend it is something else.

Note the McClintockites are staying away from this thread.

Even they can't defend McC in light of this, but they can ignore it, as if that would make it go away.
