Although this is an old article it hits the nail on the head. This issue rises again with the latest arrest down in Guantanamo.
Ms. Stillman was the first to raise this in the press that I have seen. In an interview she indicated that it was very hard to get the main stream media to run this piece. It certainly isn't the PC line. "Religion of peace" and all that stuff.
BTW I am a huge fan of her writing (if it wasn't already obvious) and thoroughly enjoyed reading her recent novel "Twentynine Palms". A very interesting perspective on a real murder that took place. I highly recommend it.
