He said the police will keep an eye on the cafe, which won't be difficult since it's directly across the street from a community policing office. LOL

The dealers are charging $225 or $250 an ounce. Well, I wouldn't know, but that sounds pretty cheap to me. I've been told that you only need 0.1 grams of primo to get very stoned for 2-4 hours. One ounce is 28 grams, so you can get high 280 times for $250. That's less than $1.00 a night. Dannnng...a six pack of cheap beer costs $5.00.

Twenty bucks an ounce from the guy at the Pork Store down the street. A little birdy told me. :-)

"Tommy Chong should seek political asylum in Canada." I don't think he needs to! If I'm not mistaken, he's a Canadian citizen. I think he's from Vancouver. He used to be in the Motown group Bobby Taylor and the Vancouvers.

Geez, what would they charge if pot were illegal in Canada?

Sounds about right, even in U.S. dollars. Prices drop this time of year, though (harvest season, doncha know).

RE: harvest season.
The local growers scratch their chins and scan the sky - not for weather but for choppers.
Say what you will about non-enforcement of the pot laws in Canada, the RCMP put on a pretty good show with their choppers, high-speed Zodiac inflatable boats, German shepherds and all.
This is the final week of 'bust season', I'm told; I would wager they catch at least 2% of the operations.

Yeah, I suppose it's a little bit high ... for plant material that would be worth about $2 if it were legal.

Geez, what would they charge if pot were illegal in Canada? It is illegal---to grow commercially or sell to recreational users. There is no economic reason for legality of personal-use possession to lower prices.
