For two years the terrorists have spoken openly and privately about a final, devastating attack that would “paralyze” the United States. In November 2001, the Taliban’s Mullah Omar spoke to a journalist about the final destruction of America. A man of simple words, Omar did not say how America would be destroyed.

Last week Osama bin Laden re-issued his famous religious ruling (fatwa) on the mass killing of Americans: “The ruling to kill the Americans and their allies -- civilian and military -- is an individual duty for every Muslim who can do it in any country in which it is possible to do it…. This is in accordance with the words of Almighty God [who said], ‘fight the pagans all together as they fight you all together,’ and ‘fight them until there is no more tumult or oppression, and there prevail justice and faith in God.’"

If we could just understand them and dialogue with them, then these attacks wouldn't happen....blah blah. These people live by the sword, and those who live by the sword will perish by the sword.

They may not quit until we do unto them what they would do to us. And, we must make sure that we do it to them before they repeat 9/11, for surely they seem determined to end our existence on this Earth.

Uhm.....Excuse me here, but based on these "Fatwa's" being issued by Moslem clerics worldwide against American civilians, I for one will feel completely justified if I should gun down a few Islamic Fatwaers next time I go food shopping next door to that Mosque by the Piggly Wiggly.

Violent threats toward me if not met with legal and judicial action give me no alternative but considering self defense use of firearms.

These statements are threats on my life by any legal standard.

Thanks much for the article. Very interesting and thought provoking. I do have one question. How does Russia or China stop the terror networks once they are done with us? These countries must realize that once America is out of the way it's open season on them. We are pagens to the Islamifacists.

If he wants to kill ME as a civilian, why can't we civilians form our OWN army to defend ourselves against him . I believe this is called a militia and we can be armed under the second amendment . It would also be proper under these circumstances to form our own groups to hunt down and kill the S.O.B.

I just don't think that's true of the Middle Eastern or Islamic cultures. There is a kind of patience that has no parallel in the western world. In fact, certain unfulfilled deeds might be handed from one generation to another.
