The assassination of South Vietnamese President Ngo Dinh Diem could only be layed directly at the feet of the Kennedy Administration. That the karmic circle came back so quickly to the US President himself, is a tale still untold. The absolute shroud of secrecy and mystery in which it was wrapped by the US Government only confirms certain lines of speculation. Of one thing we may be certain: the real story of JFK's assassination has still not been made public. Holy Christ, people, it has been FORTY YEARS! All the principal figures are either long deceased, or retired, or are very old people who have lived far beyond their time.
Was it a Mafia hit? If so, why the utter silence? Was it a very lucky snuff tactic by Castro? That would go far to explain the seemingly charmed existence of a Communist Cuba, not subject to any internal revolts years after most of the rest of the Iron Curtain fell. Was it a desperate attempt by agents within the Federal government itself, to cover up a serious miscalculation, and use JFK as a martyr, to give themselves some seeming plausibility? If so, was LBJ himself involved? Would that explain the sudden decision of LJB to quit the 1968 Presidential race? Apparently Nixon knew much more than he ever revealed, and probably that reluctance to speak out cost him the Presidency in 1974. Nixon could have traded that knowledge for immunity from impeachment, but he chose not to use that tactic.
What is honor, anyway?
