Suing the government is usually a difficult proposition (not held to the same standard as an individual) and I am guessing you are going to have to prove the woman's stupid comments caused actual financial damage (meaning hiring accountants to testify about financial loss directly related to the slander and not some other cause).

Not true when the defamation was with 'malice'. Depending on whether Jim Rob is considered a 'public person', malice may not even have to be established.
