That is so sad and,ironically, intolerant. I expose my children to a variety of opinions, as I do myself, and have to go no farther than my own family table at the Holidays for as wide a political, social and religious group as you can get. What supreme ba*** you have to make such a sweeping generalization based on a discussion of how much say a CHILD should have in picking their college. You have no clue as to how and when I chose to expose my family to a variety of things.
And trust me, Berkely is not "somewhat incompatible" for me, I have a brother there now and it is supremely incompatible.

A weak mind is most often revealed when people use insults to buffer personal opinion......and that is really all you have to lean on, personal opinion.

Few people would argue that an 18 year old is at the height of their "best judgement"years. Part of college, for my family, is an opportunity to instill and reinforce their values before they are truly thrown to the world to face intolenant and mean spirited people like you. And yes, its true, people like you are exactly who I do not want my children exposed to. I'll look for people who have varying opinions and manage to express themselves in a civil and respectful manner.

Funny.. and you dare to make an arguement based on your own personal opinion on what's right for your children. In order to be the person that we would all aspire to be we need to make mistakes. That's what growing up is all about. Clearly someone like you as you did in your last post is to say that means "whatever you want, whenever you want, however you want" which is the farthest thing from the truth. In order for us to shape our lives we cannot constantly have our lives pushed into the direction of others simply because we don't agree with their opinions. You think you what you are doing is best for your kids when in reality you are being no more than a bully. Follow my beliefs and my ideology or to hell with you. Your right.. if your kids decide they have an opinion of their own keep your money to yourself.. I mean God knows it will do you all the good in the world to buy a fancier car or take a better vacation because your kids have values different then you do.

You don't respect people's opinions.. you might listen to them but you are nothing more than a bully. You hold all the cards to so listen to me or I'll withhold everything that I can help you with.
