[history]
The skies were as clear and blue as the sea, and uncluttered by clouds.
This postcard-perfect weather made the forecast all the more implausible. Surely this hurricane talk was part of some vast conspiracy to enrich the grocers, bakers, battery manufacturers and candlestick makers. Hurricane my eye, I decided; Don't believe the hype.

More navel gazing from the self-absorbed. 300,000 people without power in our area and this guy is whining because Starbucks is closed. On the upside, according to him, maybe we will be more mindful of places like Iraq, whose earthly utopianist paradise under Saddam was similarly inconvenienced by Hurricane Bush.

Micahel Paul Williams is a major-league weenie. I remember when the Richmond newspaper was to the right of Attila the Hun - no more, I'm afraid.

Reads like a seventh grader's homework assignment.
"What I learned from Hurricane Isabel."
Hurricane Isabel taught me that we should be nice to people and watch out for falling trees. The End.

So two months early, I'm giving thanks: That my family and loved ones escaped the storm unscathed. All should note that in keeping with the political correctness required of all published in the mainstream press the word GOD is excised from the traditional phrase I am giving thanks to God.

Man, the progressives will use anything to jab at Bush. It is truly pathetic what loser this guy is. If he is so happy to see kids playing outside, why doesn't he make his kids go outside and play. Perhaps he is too spineless and can't stand to hear them cry.

Oh! So that's how we beat the weak liberals. We buy out Starbucks and shut them all down (or better yet, turn them into a Republican club.) That way, Democrats can sit around, moping about their lack of coffee, and the rest of us can get to doing the work that needs to be done.

Jesus, what a loser. We had no potable water here after Andrew. Did we whine? Heck, no, I got out my propane tank and burner and started boiling. Soon the entire neighborhood had all the drinking water it needed.
After Andrew we barbecued the stuff in our fridges and freezers (might as well, we knew we weren't getting any power for a week), pulled together as a neighborhood, and got through a tough week just fine.
And Andrew was a Categeory 4/5 at landfall, not some wussy little 2 of a mini-cane.

Hey Williams! Starbucks was open in Chesterfield on Friday...two of 'em. You know what that means....right?
Yeah, yeah, more oppression from the rich suburbanites.
Williams is such a whiner.
