That's how I see it too. His OWN actions confirmed to me that he KNEW Laci was NEVER returning home. He approached a Realtor at the first Search Centre about selling the house without Laci's signature? Then he sells her car!! This guy had a Double Life that is unfolding and it appears it was a pretty cruddy lifestyle at that!! Poor Laci, she did NOT KNOW the man she married. I do believe that with a baby coming he began to feel trapped into a lifestyle that he didn't want to live. He was wanting to live the OTHER lifestyle more and more. Babies, wives and all that were in the way. Because he appears to be the classic Sociopath, he was able to pull off this double life because he was completely unemcumbered by any guilt!! I agree with the poster who said that if he hired "hit men" he is just as guilty as if he did it himself with his own hands.

Agree with your synopis as well. I am thinking that in the end, more likely the 'hit man' thing did not work out; and Scott just went ahead and took matters - Laci - into his own hands.
I do think when people hire others to do their dirty work that the Law finds them just as guilty as well.
