Thank You, Father, for two new avenues that will be presented in the morning ... an appeal before the Federal Court, that it take jurisdiction over Terri. Gracious Father, I plead that You will soften the heart of the judge who will hear this appeal ... again and again and again, those who speak for Terri have been before judges, and none would offer relief. I earnestly pray that it will be different this time. May this judge find reason to become protector of a disabled woman ... may the words of Terri's attorneys be so compelling, that the judge could only rule on her behalf. Most merciful Father, Your word tells us of the woman who was continually denied relief before the judge, and yet she would return again and again until she obtained the relief that she sought. Terri's cause is just, Father ... the judges have not been just. Thank You for the tenacity of Terri's team to keep returning ... I pray, O Lord, that this day will be the day that just one judge ... just one would stand for Terri ... this I plead in the precious name of Jesus.
And Father, another pathway to Terri's freedom is a petition for divorce. "Those whom God has joined together, let not man put asunder." I confess, Lord, I don't know how to pray over this, but I bring before the Throne of Grace the knowledge that Terri has been injured by this man ... he has not cherished her as Christ cherishes the Church. Be in the midst of this, Lord ... draw her out of her desperate situation.
We are Your people, Lord, and we are being humbled by what we see and hear, and we are in prayer for our sins of omission and commission, and we repent, Lord, and seek to change our ways that murder of this kind disappears from our midst ... then You will heal our land ... Gracious Lord, may it be thus ... heal our land ... save Your people ... restore Terri, in Your blessed name I pray, Amen ...
