I am praying she will be able to swallow jello or other soft foods. He guardian, Michael Schiavo, will not allow any swallowing therapies or the test to determine if she could be rehabilitated to swallowing her foods. She does not get choked on her own saliva or mucus secretions, so it is likely she could now eat by mouth. ...what will her hubby do then? He has stationed guards at her door, to prevent ANY efforts to do rehab with Terri, so he won't have to contemplate the 'then'!
Isn't he remarried anyway? Ahh, therein is a nasty twist accountable to Judge Greer's abject failure in jurisprudence. When Michael was appointed her guardian, he was seeking monies from a malpractice lawsuit. Upon obtaining the win and $750,000 was deposited in an account for Terri's rehabilitation work and $300,000 was deposited in Michael's account for lose of 'wifely duties', he took up with another woman and has one child by her and is, I think, expecting another, but he is still married to Terri. If that doesn't amount to a clear conflict of interests that ought disqualify a man from being the guardian of the wife he has abused (through neglect) and abandoned (to cohabit with a second woman while still married to the first wife), then Florida is not a fit place to live or raise a family! What a disgusting democrat morass Florida has become.
