It's not really the "courts" that rule in favor of the estranged husband. It's one judge - George Greer - and the appelates have stood by him.

Remember, the husband's attorney petitioned the court early on for a non-jury trial. There is indication that collusion may be a factor in the case (http://www.cnsnews.com/ViewCulture.asp?Page=/Culture/archive/200309/CUL20030917c.html). Finally, Judge Greer has not allowed simple swallow tests for Terri to determine if she could safely consume table food. It is rather obvious that strong bias exists.

Again, the second DCA has backed him and it's anyone guess why that it. But, in the grand scheme of things, the courts are not the ones sentancing Terri to death. It's Judge Greer.

It seems the Pasco Pinellas state judge, George W Greer, has ruled mostly in favor of the so-called "husband" and the people he has gotten to say Terri is "PVS" (permanent vegetative state) and that the 2nd District Court of Appeals either accepted this or ruled that she was and/or that the mere testimony of Michael Schiavo and a couple collaborators saying she would not want to live on life support or "artificially" was enough for her to be put to death by terminating her feeding and dehydrating/starving her to death. It doesn't seem to matter that Michael in some of the affidavits which were brought forth after Jeb Bush wrote/faxed a letter to Greer make a difference on the original ruling even though they show his criminal actions, words, deeds, etc. Apparently no new evidence can change the ruling. The court/legal system appears to be "screwed up". Michael had won a malpractice lawsuit where he stipulated her rehabiliation but after he got the money he did the opposite, he secluded her and prevented her rehabiliation. Also judge Greer allowed Terri's rehabilitation monies to be spent to pay for Michael's attorney George J. Felos who has gotten Mr. Greer to rule in his favor in regards to commencing terminating her life on Oct. 15. I was at the court room on Sept. 11 and Felos wanted it to commence on Sept. 11 that very day at 5p.m. The judge admitted said "I know" when people said that she was a human being. He said it in an annoyed fashion. Through all the logic any man of integrity would have ruled in Terri's favor to have her rehabilitated so that she could learn to communicate and eat, etc. so that she could go outside in the sun, etc. but this judge doesn't listen to reason. He is of the type that is corrupt in his thinking and will rule the other way just to spite the people who love Terri and because IMO he is a bad man and if you read all the info. at www.terrisight.org and if easier to read certain texts at:

you will see that he is very corrupt and even tried to hide his actions and even got the sherrif (Sherrif Rice) to make a fool of himself and break the law, etc. He ruled by fax after the Sept. 11 hearing in that he said he would postpone his ruling until the next week (so that he wouldn't have to hear or deal with some of Terri's family and supporters who were gathered in force there). And was anyone surprised at his ruling? No. He has just handed down the death sentence of Terri and to absolve himself of anything criminal says that he is following the mandate of the 2nd District Court of Appeals. No matter the evidence in the affidavits which were entered into the court records from the Emergency Federal Hearing of Lazarra. No matter that they show the utmost criminal intentions of the so-called "husband" and "guardian" of Terri but also that the judge who also represents as a "guardian" was remiss to stick up for a disabled person who deserves to live and has the will to live. Oh, but during some other previous testimony "the hairs stood up on the back of his neck" after hearing some of the things spoken about, etc. I guess he is a closed minded judge who errs on the side of death for disabled people because he is a sportsminded able person who is not used to disabled people. He does not uphold the constitution of his state nor of the Federal level. He is a menace and a disgrace and he has ruled and that is final- he has as stated before succeed in giving Terri her death sentence and there is nothing that can be done. Or is there?
