SACRAMENTO - In a bid to win over Latino voters in the turbulent recall race, Republican Arnold Schwarzenegger began running a Spanish-language radio ad last week that touts his humble beginnings in America as a bricklayer.
While the Austrian native has made his immigrant's tale a rallying cry in his bid for governor, seven immigration attorneys said the up-and-coming bodybuilder most likely violated the terms of his work visa by launching his bricklaying business in 1971.
In interviews over the years, Schwarzenegger has said he joined forces with an Italian bodybuilder to rebuild damaged homes after the deadly Sylmar earthquake jolted Southern California.
But immigration attorneys across the country said Schwarzenegger would have been barred by visa restrictions from starting his own business. Moreover, there is no record that the pair ever received the required state contractor's license.

TOTALLY UNTRUE. Since the facts are known (actually from an earlier Arnold bashing article) that he HAD a WORK VISA BY THAT TIME, received it in 1969.
"In November 1969, after more than a year in the United States, Schwarzenegger received an H-2 visa, which allowed him to work in this country. He became a permanent resident in 1974 and a citizen in 1983."
Arnold VISA issues
(pinging pro-Arnold posters, so you know how to refute these more ludicrous allegations, with FACTS)

GOOD POINT!
I read somewhere that there is no record of a birth certificate in the city, where he claims he was born. Could be that the whole thing is counterfeit and he wasn't born here and may well be illegal.
I wish someone would dig into this.

thanks for this info:
This is another good reason why ALL California GOP and Conservatives should vote for Arnold.
Arnold has helped build California from the ground up!

So, why do you want Tommy Chong freed?Because jailing a 65 year-old man for 9 months, over a bong, is cruel and unusual punishment.

Busty birth records should be part of public records, one would think.
