They have been dark for the summer, I'm still getting my sea legs and working on building a coalition of conservative activists in Ventura County. I get the impression that the RNC isn't the most effective way to effect change but am still on a learning curve. The slowly turning wheel is just starting to squeak.

.. That is where you are WRONG.. the RNC IS the most effective way to effect change.. you just have to learn how to operate within the ORGANIZATION.. and your LOCAL committee is the FIRST rung on the ladder...... give your local chair a call and ask when the next meeting is.. bring as many conservative friends along as you can... you probably will not be able to vote until you have attended a few meetings.. they will explain their policies to you.. but when you gather enough votes you WILL have an impact.. and you WILL have far more influence than you will ever get by fighting AGAINST the organization....
