Dont forget, MR writer Dennis Lehane was featured in an anti war ad in USA today. Minor writer, major lib jerk.

I'm going to see it. Probably at full price. Probably even get a jumbo popcorn and diet soda. It's based on a very good, interesting novel, that I read and liked, and looks to be a first-class production.

If we reject every type of performer because of his politics, the only movies we'll be able to watch are Schwarzenegger's...sometimes, I guess, since he's a RINO.

On the one hand, most people here say, the political opinions of "entertainers" are worthless...then we go on to say, however, since they have them, I'm going to boycott them. Barbra Streisand is a blithering leftist idiot, politically...who has one of the greatest voices of her generation, maybe the greatest.

Sean Penn, Tim Robbins? Goofy leftists? Yeah. Talented actors who can bring home amazing performances? Oh, yeah.

Your choice. I confess to the human failing of being unable to separate the actor from his oral drivel. Kinda explains my reaction to Ed Asner or Mike Farrel whenever i see them on Tee Vee.

Well, actually, I defer to you on Asner and Farrell--fullfledged liberal pukes of the first order. But: are you a sports fan? do you boycott games because some of the players are libs? they are, you know. this includes games on tv. I didn't think so.

I don't see a call for boycotting every lefty performer. What I do see is a call to boycott a couple of anti American losers who gave aid and comfort to our enemy and put our soldiers in harms way.

I would. But then again, the games that I am interested in are college football and college basketball.

Hopefully, they are only concerned with getting back in the dorm before curfew and not puking over everything.

I don't normally have to deal with that.

Wouldn't wanna let our patriotism interfere with our entertainment, now would we?? Wouldn't wanna miss the Jane Fonda's movie festival.

Yes, and as I recall, Ted Bundy was a hell of an actor...Turned in some remarkable performances as ROMEO that had women swooning right into his web!

Before you take exception with my comparing Penn & Robbins to a serial killer, ask yourself how many of our boys have died because our ENEMIES have taken notice of Penn, Robbins, Sarandon, Garafalo, etc, and used their ANTI-WAR SUPPORT to fight on. Any opposition to our nation's war efforts by our own high profile celebrities adds fuel to THE ENEMY'S fire and don't you think it doesn't.

Remember Hanoi Jane and the kick the Viet Cong got out of the stupid imperialist c*nt that was taking their side against her own country?

It is YOUR perogative to support those who would violently overthrow the govenrment of the United States of America.

Maybe in the next war, the surviving Americans will be as generous to their enemies as the ones back in the late 18th - early 19th centuries. The enemy (British then) simpathizers were allowed to leave the country.

Anyone who puts money in Penn & Robbins' pockets through attending this movie is sending the message that "What you guys did was wrong, but we don't care as much about that as seeing YOU (as opposed to any other actors) bring this swell novel to the silver screen".

Frankly, I'm not about to let fools who show such disrespect for our Flag and home off the hook for actions that they'll repeat at the drop of a hat, given the chance.
