They took their straw poll by having anyone who passed by vote. Here is an article which has more on it. They even invited Bob Mulholland to vote in their straw poll!

You discount one straw poll which took place over the course of the convention, then proceed to embrace an even more dubious one which was taken *immediately* after Arnold finished his convention speech.
