Any one who studies the Bible and is familiar with Jewish history knows the Assyrians destroyed the Northern Kingdom of Israel and the Ten Tribes were lost to history as a result of assimilation, having succumbed to paganism, and intermarriage. The Judeans and Levites in the Southern Kingdom of Judah preserved their identity and faith and remained apart from the nations around them. So all that's left of the fabled Twelve Tribes are the sons of Judah and Levi. A small portion of Israel did survive and they can trace their heritage all the way back to our forefather Abraham.
