T'would be too cool if Zell, having left the Rat plantation, got behind Cain. I like him a lot....

I'm supporting Cain. He is a fresh face. We'll easily win this race since the Democrats have no one running yet, so why not be daring?
To: bedolido
It would be awesome if Herman Cain wins the Senate seat. I would love to see the faces of Al Sharpton and Je$$e Jackson when they refer to Herman Cain as Senator!

I like Cain too. I hope enough blacks cross-over and vote for him in the open primary.
Heck, for that matter, I hope it's not too close a primary battle 'cause I want to vote a democrat ticket for Dean.

Extra warning: this is a high-volume ping list.

GA primaries have a run-off system if no candidate wins 50% of the vote. Cain can win the GOP primary if he manages to make it into the run-off. I have a feeling the "moderate" Johnny Iskason is going to make it into the run-off. However, I don't think he'll win the nomination. Iskason ran for the Senate in 1992 and 1996. Each time, he failed to win the primary. So, the likely winner of the GOP primary shall be whoever faces Iskason in the run-off. Let's hope it will be Herman Cain.

You should know something about him, because I wrote him up in my book "The Entrepreneurial Adventure." He worked for a company, as I recall, Pillsbury, in accounting where he was a high-level veep. He went to the pres. of the company and said, "I want to get your job. How do I do that?" The pres said, "I'll be honest. We never would promote someone from accounting to this position. You would need to be in the food production/mgt./processing divisions. You would have to start almost at the bottom." Cain said, "I'll do it." He gave up his company car and perks and began as a BURGER KING manager!!! Within six months, he was promoted to the regional Burger King director, then soon, promoted again, and was on his way to the pres. spot when "Godfather's Pizza" came on the market. He and some investors had the money to buy it, and he managed it, into a solid profit.
His is one of the most amazing rags-to-riches stories you'll ever see.

What a headline. Is it just so unthinkable that a black person could be a conservative republican?
To: Lost Highway
To some, apparently. If one is of the opinion that a black man can't accomplish anything without a handout from the redistribution party, it would be surprising that he would run as one of those mean, heartless conservatives.
To: bedolido
As I've said several times, the first black vice president and the first black president will be Republican.

Here's a preview of his campaign strategery.."Fellow Georgians..if you elect me to the US Senate, every time the Senate confirms one of President Bush's judicial nominees....that night the pizza will be FREE at every Godfather's in Georgia.."

"This is the first U.S. Senate race in modern times that Georgians will have the opportunity to elect a fiscally and socially conservative black Republican to the U.S. Senate," Cain adds in the e-mail, urging support for his one-of-a-kind candidacy. I wish I had an opportunity like that in California. :(

It would be great if a Black or Hispanic conservative ran against Senator Boxer or Feinstein of California.
