Hey, Woodstock. I'm just down the Bay a bit at Aberdeen Proving Ground. Wind gusts currently at about 25mph, light drizzle off and on (off at the moment). Sustained winds later in the day predicted to be in the 35-50 mph range, with gusts higher than that, so we've made sure everything outside is secure, from plants and lawn furniture to the bikes and the grill.
We had severe flooding here on Monday with all the rain, and are expecting more if we get more than a couple of inches. We're about a mile from the water's edge at Swan Creek. The Chesapeake (even this far north) is supposed to surge a couple of feet, so if you're right on the water, be CAREFUL!
Thanks! I work Chester County, PA - Talk about flooding on Monday. It took 4 1/2 hours to get to Kennett Square. Good thing I showed up for five minutes. No vacation day required if you showed up. The Bay looks very strange. The wind is pushing the water out of the Elk. I can see a few neighbors left the bigger boats in their slips - shame on them.
