Historically, the Penninsula is the area between the Pamunkey, York and James Rivers, from east of Richmond to Fortress Monroe. The Chickahominy cuts through the western and central parts of the Penninsula.
Williamsburg, Yorktown & Jamestown are all on the Penninsula.

The President has left the White House (was he scheduled to be at Camp David this weekend?)

Thank you.
It just struck me strange.
My "LOcal " news is out of Salisbury MD - and DelMarVA is always referred to just as The Peninsula.
When I watching WAVY10 a little while ago they made a reference to the peninsula and of course I thought they were talking about us - but then when I went to see I realized it was somewhere else!!!
Again, thanks for the info, appreciate it.
