Just get a string and hang it outside. If it's raining, the string will be wet. If it's frozen, it's cold outside. If the string is blowing, it's windy. It's a great gauge.

I just was IMing with a friend in KC - I finally told him good bye as I was a bit too busy to keep being interupted by him telling me things I knew yesterday.

He just couldn't seem to get it through his head I didn't need "moral support" from someone who can not comprehend the idea of living on the coast........
