I just got off the phone with my dad in Jacksonville. He was reading the report off of the local forecast from TWC--he said there were 58mph gusts at the moment, and they can expect winds from 50-70mph with gusts up to 80mph. Their power is still on. Just by looking outside their house, he said the winds are coming in gusts at about 40-50mph, and some limbs have blown off trees.

He talked to my aunt in Atlanic (not Atlantic Beach) and they lost power at 4:45am (but she has a generator) and all around her area is out of power.

For anyone who doesn't know where Atlantic is, look on a map of NC and find Cedar Island. Atlantic is on the mainland right next to it.
