No kidding. I've been in several. The worst was the May 1974 SW Omaha tornado. It had three tails and plowed through about 15 miles of city several blocks wide. The devastation was incredible, but thank God only 3 people lost their lives. It happened during the late afternoon when everyone was paying attention to the news reports--which I'm sure saved hundreds of lives at least.

I've never been in one but am absolutely petrified of the possibility when tornado season hits. I'm in GA so they aren't as bad as some other places but we do get them in the spring and sometimes in the fall when the cold fronts first start coming south. This year, fall is coming nice and quietly.
