It's really scary how quickly the water rises in these little streams sometimes. Our little creek is usually well behaved, but it turns into a raging torrent during these heavy rains. It scares me plenty.

My husband gets restless during these storms. He just went driving an hour or so ago to see what's happening around the area. Towards the end of Floyd or Allison, he decided to take us for a drive to look around. We quickly learned that the creeks weren't finished with the storm and had a heck of a time getting back home. It seemed like everywhere we turned, the water had risen in the low-lying areas and blocked our route. We drove a lot of miles trying to get home the couple of miles as the crow flies. We don't even have the excuse of coming from Texas. My husband grew up in this house!

The flooding in Chester County early this week was incredible.......... I hope they get past this without more flooding, but that seems unlikely.........
