They think my son-in-law might have had a heart attack. :-( So sorry Howlin, hope he turns out ok. One foot in front of the other, you'll get through.

"Yes, but you have that awful bubble the blacktop heat -- and, :::shudder:::, BUGS year 'round! ;):We have heat that could kill you, but no bugs. Haven't had to use anything for fleas for the dogs nor cat since I've been here. An occasional fly or skeeter, but that's it. The heat kills them and their larvae.
To: Howlin
Oh, my gosh, Howlin. More prayers out for you and your daughter and SIL.
To: Howlin
Let us know how things are going. I just got out of the VA in Durham two weeks ago with heart problems.

Oh my gosh! How horrible for you....... I hope all is well now ~ it's strange how things can happen like that when you live near mountains - it can rain on the mountain but not on the ground and you don't realize it until it comes swhooshing down on you........thanks for the story...
To: uglybiker

From a friend who directed me to Urban Legend newsletter..
(and you are right.. kewl pix anyway.. and gives us the visual image of what most of them no doubt look like)
This image began circulating via email on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2003 as Hurricane Isabel bore down on the eastern seaboard of the United States. It seems to have been intentionally mislabeled. According to a Web page of the National Weather Service, the photo, credited to Steve Todd, actually documents a tropical cyclone in the Pacific Ocean six months earlier named "Graham."
Though we have reason to suspect the information on the National Weather Service site isn't perfectly accurate either (it lists Graham as a 2002 storm, when in fact it struck in late February 2003), it puts the lie to the email's claim that the photo depicts Hurricane Isabel.

We have no power. But, thank God that there was little rain that came through. Most people around us have no power, including me. But the floods didn't materialize. Whew!

Glad to hear it abner........ the real tough part of the storm hit us between 3am and 4am..... I leaped out of bed when I heard this crashing sound..... I swear it sounded like a car was tumbling down the street...... I looked out and didn't see a thing! lol..........
