You know you can buy a thingy to charge that battery in the car.Yes, I have two of them. Both of them are in the vehicles at the office! Duh! We should have brought the truck home, but we didn't. If we don't have power by morning, we will bring the generator out.

Do I have to even say it?
To: Interesting Times
I'm sorry about your tree - that's a mess to deal with. I'm glad nobody was hurt. We had a couple of trees fall on our garage about 3 years ago. It sure made a lot of noise, and DH had his hands in the electrical box (in the garage) when it happened. Fortunately, he's fine and thanks to a wonderful insurer (there's at least one good one out there), everything was repaired and roof replaced.
We have our fingers crossed . . . lots of trees still around us.
To: Howlin
Seen Gabz? No. I'm worried.
Interesting Times had a tree fall into his bedroom through his rood. So, he will be occupied with other things for at least the rest of the evening. No one was hurt. Thank God.

My yard is a wreck. It evidently rained leaves and tree limbs; and not OLD tree limbs, nice fresh ones with leaves on them.
The cars are covered with pine needles; you can't even see the driveways for the leaves and branches and pine needles.
It's still drizzling and blustery.
See what you have to look forward to?
And I am NOT complaining. I feel lucky.
To: Mo1
they are so trashed that someone needs to keep and eye on them They are worse then the kids you still got that supply of Tom Ridge duck tape, don'cha... huh??

Did you lost power?
Here's an article I just posted from the N&O. WRAL is impossible to access.
Storm Leaves Two Dead
To: Howlin
I'm glad you fared well. It looked like it was raining leaves here too. On our way home a power line broke behind us. It made huge flashes of white light! That was enough excitement for me.
Has most of the storm gone by you then?

Well we know what you'll be doing tomorrow
I had the scanner on earlier .. seems a bunch of trees came down and were blocking the roads .. The fire trucks were having trouble getting past them ..
You;re right .. it could be a lot worse .. no complaints here
OK .. be back later

Mo, I hope yall stay safe.
I've been through several hurricanes in South Louisiana and know the tension and worry.
For several we had to go to shelters because my Mother was in Civil Service, and as a nurse, was required to set them up and run them.
All in all, I had rather be at home on a pallet in the hall, than at a shelter.
Take care.
To: NautiNurse
No, I took a break.....I was exhausted from worry........LOL.
Can you help me out here? Can anybody remember the last tornado that effected this many states?
