Everyone's getting airtime!

I lost 33 in the ice storm. I thought that was enough.

Droughts are bad, but I sure as heck wouldn't want to be in this storm. Take care, then.
To: Rebelbase
That is funny!

Sorry my friend.
He said 98mph gusts were nothing, would cause no damage, and no one would die because of them
It was carefully explained to him about the ground saturation conditions that make toppling trees a serious danger to lives and properties.
He chose to ignore that information and sneer at people concerned about the winds.
That's not youthful ignorance to be forgiven - that is ignorance plain and simple.
I have sustained winds of over 40mph with 65mph gusts right now. Trees were coming down yesterday with 23mph winds.
concern over winds is nothing to take lightly, especially by someone not in the line of fire.

So where the heck is the coverage of the collapsing hotel housing reporters?
To: meyer
Watchin' the waves on the MSNBC web came. Some guy is now yelling for Dave. Those waves are about level with the top of the pier. How tall are those piers, do you think?

Who said Isabel is my fault? LOL, your predictive abilities are incredible.
To: Conservababe
I heard about an hour ago that that was not accurate report...could be a different hotel.

Speaking of the Avalon pier cam, has anyone seen it update since about 12:45?

"Some guy is now yelling for Dave"
Dave's not there.
To: NCjim
No, my guess is the pier cam is gone. If nothing else surely they've lost power.
The Hatteras cam has been gone since last night.

FOX just reported that trees are down in Virginia along many secondary roads, which is commeasurate with 90-100 MPH winds.
