Who did that, do you know? Some good thoughts. I'm going to have to read the whole essay.

Even that snippet sounds something that I think some of my (should-be) good friends among have seemingly skipped right over: that there is a difference between compromising one's personal morality and convictions and values, and working towards a shared goal with someone who does not share all of one's convictions and moralities. The first, my namesake is not recorded as ever doing. The second, he necessarily did every day.

It is referring to a European system, but I enjoyed it! With the title "God in Politics" it really grabbed my attention.... some good thoughts there :-)
