Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band perfored at Fed Ex Field last weekeend, and between classic numbers like 'Born to Run' the boss got political.
At one point he said he welcomes fans of all ideological persuations to his concerts, 'with the exception of Vice President Dick Cheney. I'm not sure about him,' he told the crowd.
Later Springsteen said President Bush ought to be impeached and started chanting, 'impeach, impeach.'
But the call was not picked up by the mulitiude, some of whom even began to boo.

I remembered that old show Fridays where the pre-Seinfeld Michael Richards summed it up best about Springsteen. "How phony is someone that claims to sing about the working man, buy yet allows himself to be called 'The Boss?"

We all notice that conservative entertainers DO NOT do this.
It's always struck me that the party of tolerance does not tolerate conservatives. The party of free speech does not accept other's viewpoints well at all.

The Left has truly gone nuts. They are absolutely obsessed with hating Bush. They are Pete Stark-raving mad. They can't sneeze without turning it into some anti-Bush meltdown.
We got 'em right where we want 'em!

Bruce just didn't have enought dough in the bank to feel 'comfortable' expressing his politcal views..

For the party who created hate crimes, they sure know how to fan the flames of hatred and anger.
