Just got the following in my e-mails:

Greer Denies Motion Allowing Terri Schiavo to Eat on Her Own Clearwater, FL (LifeNews.com) --

On Monday, Circuit Court Judge George Greer told Terri Schiavo's parents that their motion to allow Terri to learn to eat on her own prior to the removal of her feeding tube would not be granted -- at least not now. Greer denied the motion on a legal technicality, saying the family's attorney had not used the proper legal means to advance the motion and that the issue of allowing Terri to eat on her own would be decided later this week. Greer is considering whether or not to allow Terri to have rehabilitative care. That's been a sticking point for the family who say that Michael Schiavo, Terri's husband, has denied her such medical help. The Schindlers have doctors who believe she could be rehabilitated with new and aggressive therapy.

George Felos, the euthanasia crusader who is Michael's attorney, told Greer that doctors he has consulted with have testified that Terri is capable of swallowing her saliva. However, if given water or pureed food, Felos says Terri will choke on it and the blockage could lead to pneumonia.

www.tbo.com has that posted, and says he will give a ruling today (Wednesday).
They also had a story posted which states:

TAMPA - An alternative rock band's claim that it will feature a ``live suicide'' onstage during a St. Petersburg gig next month has gotten the attention of the concert owners and local police.
Tampa group Hell on Earth said on its Web site that a terminally ill member of a right- to-die group planned to commit suicide during a show Oct. 4 at the State Theater.

So, I am thinking Florida is just totally nuts. Also the Poll on Terri's feeding tube is gone.

(Good letter to Gov. Bush - I wish he would get a spine and take a stand on this extremely important issue!)

I notes the "legalities" in your post above. That phrase and similar ones are ringing in my ears lately.

The "legality" of not allowing the 10 Commandments to remain in a public building, abortion being horrible but "legal", sodomy being (fill in the blank) but now "legal", etc. And so many people - here on FR as well as elsewhere - decrying certain actions such as the removal of the Commandments, but saying we shouldn't protest or get upset because the actions are "legal".

How can they not think of the Nuremberg trials? The defense of the Nazis was that what they did was "legal".

This is exactly why the 10 Commandments are vital. Legality is nothing if it is not in line with the eternal law which comes from the eternal Law Giver. No wonder they want the 10 C's out of sight.

What I keep thinking - How much worse is it going to get before it A) Gets better or B) Atheistic tyranny? With (re-education) camps for theists?

Our son was worse off than Terri and after doctors using feeding tubes and trying to convince us it was not possible, we learned to feed him anyway, did so for 26 years.

If she can swallow her saliva, surely they will be successful in feeding her, with a little time.

If she were a heinous criminal, the Governor could issue a stay of execution. And certainly the screamers on the left would rule the method of execution cruel and inhuman punishment. Alas, she is innocent, so different story.

God bless Terri Schiavo and protect her.

However, if given water or pureed food, Felos says Terri will choke on it and the blockage could lead to pneumonia.

But since he WANTS her to die, why is that a problem?
