Keep us informed on the outcome of the Republican primary. The man's word seems to mean little and I hope the voters find a better candidate--shouldn't be hard.

I guess Jim Black couldn't draw a safe RAT district for Michael Decker.

This guy is worse than Bob Smith and Jim Jeffords combined.

Michael Decker is not schizophrenic. Neither is Michael Decker.

His comments suggest that he won't be able to stop admiring himself long enough to mount a successful reelection campaign.

'I did not switch parties for any other reason than to bring about the change in the Republican leadership...'

The initial switch by Decker, a conservative,

Is this an example of the "do it my way NOW or I'll destroy the world" attitude of too many Conservatives?

He could be allowed back into the Republican fold, minus any seniority from before. If he rejoins, any seniority would be started from today. No exceptions. Someone needs to stand up to him and show some backbone.

Co-Speakership changed the NC House into a strange species. Probably the only critter on earth with two rectums claiming to be the it's head.

The Democrats and Decker deserve each other.

"'I was always going to change back,' Decker said yesterday"

He had to plan to change back to have a shot at re-election. Kick the traitor out, or he will switch again.

Maybe he realized that North Carolina is a Republican state (not a Vermont) and decided that such a switch was pure folly. At least he came back to the right folks.

Even still, he really can't be trusted for anything super-significant now.

In a district in which Democrats didn't even field a candidate last year, he won 85 percent of the vote against a lone Libertarian candidate in 2002.

15% is pretty good for a libertarian.
