Isn't it possible that a person can be shot and there be very little blood?
Many, many years ago, my brother had a female neighbor in his apartment building, and she expressed a desire to commit suicide one night. He saw that she owned a pistol and took the thing down to his own apartment. But there were people going into and out of each other's apartments that evening, and up and down, to and from, the swimming pool. She got in there and secretly got her gun back.
Later he went up to her place to check on her and the door was unlocked, and she was lying there. She had shot herself in the chest. He said there was very little visible blood. In fact, he wasn't sure if she had even shot herself until he checked her pulse and realized there was none. He got on the phone to the police immediately, so he didn't have time to really know much more about it. It was very sad.
But the point (buried in my verbiage) is, seems to me there need not be blood everywhere if someone is shot. Some blood, yes, but not a charnal house.
