Just when Bush is starting to pull some Jewesh voters over, he goes and does this?
I'm beginning to think he's his father's son.

Are you saying that Israel does not need our nation's help because of a case of mistaken identity during the Six-Day war back in 1967?

Another thing I do not understand is why do you folks harp on the Liberty 24-7, yet you NEVER talk about how North Korea stole the USS Pueblo out of international waters.
To: PatrioticCowboy
No. They do need our help. But let's not pretend Israel is completely innocent.
The survivors of the Liberty attack don't seem to think that it was mistaken identity.

It sure looks that way

I am not claiming that Israel is angelic.
They are just humans like we all are.
Mere mortals.
But, they DO need all the help they can get, because they are in the fight of their lives against Radical Islam.

I'm no expert, just a hard working American.
The solution to the "Israel" situation is simple.
Cut them loose.
Let them "solve" their problems.
Might take 2 weeks.
There will be no more "terrorism" in Israel.
There will be no "rebuilding".
The "foreign welfare" could end (at least for Israel) permenently.

There was an interesting point a freeper made on another board today in reference to
"Indefinite delay on weapons report" His post was: "After 6 months of intelligence gathering and informant tips follow-ups, we have been unable to establish whether there are loose WMD's around.
We should be very worried.
It sounds like Saddam sold the weapons to interested parties already, hid some of them in Syria, and buried the rest. He must have had a limited number of them, otherwise their movement would have been detected.
At any rate, I think they will not be found, at this point.
We should be really worried. If they were sold to Iran,Syria, Egypt covertly, to buy protection for his escape, there will be trouble down the line.
The scenarios are grim"
What if we have information that Iraq's WMD are in another (or even more than one) nonfriendly country? Maybe that is why we are keeping as much resistance on Israel as possible? If they take out Arafat, maybe we know they will be hit from at LEAST one direction?
It is a plausable thought. Why the delay in the WMD info? Why try to keep Israel from defending herself?

We stand with Israel must have been empty words.
Bush and Powell needs to keep on backing Israel.
Israel is the only friend our nation has in that area

You need to get a better news source. Reuters sucks.
I'm wondering how they reconcile their title
U.S. to Withhold Some Funds from Israel
with the body of the story:
But administration officials said they have yet to decide whether to penalize Israel for building a fence through the West Bank. Congressional aides doubted the White House would carry out that threat.
So, the administration hasn't decided yet, and aides doubt that they even would. So it sounds like the typical diplomatic posturing that goes on over there every day.
Get back to me when something actually happens.

Israel needs to be allowed to go ahead and finish off the radical Islamofascists
To: PatrioticCowboy
"We should not betray her." No, we should not. But "our" government is constantly betraying us...the citizens of this country...so we should not be surprised.

Israel is not causing our nation financial harm.
We need to back them as much as they need
