Since the punch card ballot is used in thousands of precincts nationwide, and can't be eliminated before the 2004 election much less the primaries, it will be necessary to cancel the 2004 Presidential election. Tough luck, nine dwarves.

Absolutely prescient!!! Amazing!!!

When the people's will is threatened, like it was in the 2000 election and again now... The only outlet is FReepin demonstrations!!!

They may not change anything, but they do effect "The Court Of Public Opinion" if done intelligently. Besides, they heal divisions that have shown up on this forum because we face a common enemy, together!!!

We have got to find a way to stop this "extended family" fued on FR and this action idea could help.

Now, whenever I write about federal judges thwarting the popular will, readers call to ask "What can we do?" The answer, I'm afraid, is absolutely nothing. Federal judges are appointed for life, and the 9th Circuit is answerable only to the U.S. Supreme Court.

Actually judicial tyranny can be reined in by the Congress but they have neither the cojones nor the inclination so sadly this guy is correct.

We have to take whatever they dish out until and unless a critical mass is reached where some will simply not take it any more and just say no.

Sort of like Judge Moore in Alabama did.

No we can't. Federal Judges can be impeached for cause by Congress. They can also be told to dissociate themselves from certain cases by Congress. Neither will happen because they have neither the principle nor will to take on the Feral Judiciary at this time in history.

Our only recourse is to replace activists with Constitutionalists but here again our Congress folk don't even have the wherewithal to get a fine man like Miguel Estrada a vote on the floor of the senate.

Seems like maybe our Congress is the root of the problem.
