And the ACLU signed an agreement with the state of California that DOES NOT require the punch card system to be replaced until the 2004 Presidential Election.
Of course, when the 'rats are losing, they will use any means possible to try to snatch victory from defeat.
How many judges on the 9th Circuit are Clinton appointees?
How many Fedral judges have been appointed by President Bush AND BEEN APPROVED by the US Senate?

I'm not a lawyer and, therefore, might have a flawed understanding of the matter. But as I understand the details of what the SCOTUS decided in its rulings in the 2000 Florida case, to remain consistent with those rulings, it will have to overturn the 9th Circuit on this.

In March: a vote for recall=2/3 rebate of your car tax, works for me.

Not if we can get 375.000 verified signatures for a referendum overturning SB60 before December 4th.

Judiocracy - you're right - that's what we're becoming.
A country run by liberal judges.

I live in "wealthy" North Orange County, I have used punch card ballots my entire life, I've NEVER heard of anyone complaining or being "disenfranchised".
The only voting irregularities in Orange County was when nearly 1000 illegals voted for Loretta Sanchez.

"I would love to agree with you, but I am highly skeptical that most voters would have a clue of who appointed these ridiculous, misguided judges. "
Then we must tell the people ... these same judges were the ones saying "under God" needed to be taken out of the pledge. now they usurp Democracy, again and again. (not just this but also prop 187).
It's an abomination.
We must inform voters that the Democrats are supporting left-wing crazies on the bench and opposing highly quialified moderates, like Miguel Estrada.

Another question:
How does a Federal Court have jurisdiction over a state election for a state office?
To: Congressman Billybob
BTW, the "election law expert" on Fox News as I type this is saying that it is "unlikely that the Supreme Court will TAKE this case." He's probably comparing this to the New Jersey case where the Supreme Court did not take that case. Does that make it harder for them to now take up a California election case when it refused to take up a New Jersey election case? How about the fact that the NJ case was a state-wide election for a federal position while this is a state-wide election for a state position?

Soon there will be a ruling that decrees that every MORON must be accompanied into the booth by a government "helper" That already happens.
To: Ragirl
I've got to catch up on these posts, but all I could think was how interesting it is that the same punch cards good enough to elect Davis in a close election over Simon are not good enough for his recall?
To: Weimdog
The Dead Kennedys were prophets. I'm convinced. Those lyrics are astounding.
To: Sabertooth
Is this serious about illegals being allowed to vote?
HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?
I know CA is screwed up but it can't be this bad!
