I was here. Thunderstorm is getting worse though. Shutting down for now.

I'll be back with the weather is 'nicer'.

Haha. No, I wouldn't know how to make a thread. I will just type it into a reply and maybe add a few graphics. I know how to do that much.

Are you doing a picnic report?

In lieu of a report, I think I will just point everyone to the thread that mtngrl@vrwc posted Saturday night. There are lots of pictures and comments there.

We had a great time as we ALWAYS do when we get together, both at the rally and the picnic. No finer group of people to be found anywhere! Our next one will be in June sometime, so maybe some of you easterners can plan a CA vacation next June? Hint, hint. ;-)

Of course, we could have done without one of the City of Fresno's commissions calling us a "hate group". There are serious ramifications to blatantly labeling us a hate group and sending out a warning to the media and police that our group had threatened violence towards minorities who attempt to disrupt our barbecue. All of my time this weekend and today has been taken up with communicating with others in our group, discussing our legal options, and monitoring the local media for reports on this. The fervor over this is not going to die down any time soon.........and it shouldn't. Fresno Mayor Autry has called this taxpayer funded commission "politically intoxicated". He seems as stunned and outraged as we are over this attack, but he has had run-ins with this commission before.

Anyway, because of all of this, I am just going to link to the thread that has the pictures and ask for everyone's understanding. I just don't have time right now to do anything more. :-)

The Friday Rally Thread

The Fresno Barbecue Thread

BTW, a wonderful, heartwarming report is on the news right now about the sailors from the Carl Vinson returning to Lemoore NAS. I LOVE seeing these families reunited - gets me all teary.

We're still waiting on that tri-tip recipe. lol

I know. LOL. I promise, I will get the tri-tip recipe from JK tonight (he has it in his computer) and send it to you and others who have asked for it, or maybe I'll just post it on the thread and ping you to it.

Hey MB. I read the picnic news. Sounds like you guys had a great time. You all looked pretty fierce to me however. Hate groups always look fierce.

Thanks for the links MB. I had already read the The Friday Rally Thread and made a reply. Need to read the The Fresno Barbecue Thread.

It looks like a long thread so I'll say good night now and go read it.

Good evening FRiends, it has been one busy weekend. We had our American Legion Ladies Aux fund raiser. Collected about $150.00. Millington's fall festival thing is called "goat days" as it is centered around goats. Goat races, goat BBQ, goat judging, along with other stuff farm related. We set up our booth Friday night. And took it down Sunday about 2 pm. We offered hand crafted items for sale and raffled off a 48" x 48" quilt I made. I'm wore out still.
