Stryker... Some think it's a death trap.. but, it's way better than a Humvee..

And with the slat armor, it should be able to withstand serious attacks.

IMO, they need to make a Stryker with DU armour (ala the M1A2) and two engines (to account for heavier armour). Sort of a shield that will protect the front and rear of a column.

They had a fantastic solution for the ambush problem way back in Vietnam...gun trucks. Worked like a charm. Perhaps this is something worth looking into.
