How soon until France demands that the Germans invade Sweden to bring them into submission?

Lindh, who died on Thursday after a knife attack in a Stockholm department store, appeared on posters urging people to vote to adopt the single currency saying, ``if we choose to remain outside, we'll be left behind.'' Remaining outside of a collapsing building is a good way to be left behind on a trip to the morgue.

So, if the assassination was an attempt to stampede a sympathy vote in favor of the Euro, it failed. Good for the Swedes!
By the way, if the assassin continues to elude capture, that will greatly increase the likelihood that it was a professional hit.

And once again, the media polls were even close. They predicted that the euro would get the Swedish voters nod out of sympathy for Lindh. And what happened? The euro lost by a 14-point margin, a crushing defeat for Persson.
