Excellent news report about Free Republic! Jim and Amy, your "sound bites" were very good, and the knuckleheaded "Human Relations Council" have egg on their faces from their press release about FR. Expect to see some high-speed backpedaling from them, and hope to see the lefties in charge of that "council" looking for other employment.

P.S. It may be a good idea to copy the original "FReepwatch" (or whatever it was called) page and comments that encouraged its readers to cause trouble at your picnic, as well as the FR threads that followed. A lawyer may be a good idea, and a letter demanding a public retraction and apology... in print and on the tv station that originally reported the story.

Before you go down the lawsuit path, I would suggest a professionally written letter demanding an apology and retraction, providing the document originated from a HRC official. If such a retraction were to occur, think maximum media exposure. Make sure you include in your demand letter the moderation aspects of FR, the fact it's a high traffic public bulleting board which makes 100% moderation difficult, and include the long-time posted guidelines.
