Please notice: the goose-stepping minority you speak of in War2 had an entire nation, and later the resources of an entire continent, to back them up. This is NOT the case we face now. There's a radical difference between the SS and Wehrmacht, supported by the entire resource structure of a continent, and Al Qaida, which is -- what? -- 500 people? A thousand? -- supported by the donations of a few rich oil geeks.

WE ARE NOT AT WAR WITH THE ENTIRE MUSLIM WORLD. We are not even at war against any single Muslim government (now that Iraq is conquered). It's like wanting to kill every cow in Europe just because a dozen have hoof-and-mouth disease. And people are NOT cattle.

That's both needless and probably suicidal--no matter how rich we are, there's still a hell of a lot more of them than there are of us, and a war against the entire Muslim world would be ... well, we'd win, but would YOU want your kids to grow up in that world afterwards? I don't.
