[history]
The controlling theme of the recall is that we the people will reshape politics by replacing one of them, an insider, with one of us, a citizen outsider. And from the moment he sat down on Jay Leno's couch last month and announced himself a candidate, Arnold Schwarzenegger has cast himself for that outsider's role. "I'm going to go to Sacramento and reform politics as we know it," the actor says.

"It is not the students and it is not the schools that fail. It is the politicians that fail the schools and the students, and we have to turn it around."
This one is a whopper unto itself!
No mention of the unions or socialist agenda carried out by the school board and district leadership, administrators, etc.
Just Win, Baby! I Don't Have A Clue but Vote for Me!!!
Ego 8-? Or just plain ignorance? Ask your kids, kids are very good judges of character and who is sincere.

Isn't it fascinating, that we, as Californians, spend more per student than anybody else. In fact, fifty-percent of spending is mandated to be directed to education funding. Yet, we rank 49th in the nation in terms of educational achievement. The commies in the NEA and CTA can pat themselves on the back for having achieved their goal of dumbing-down the citizenry. In a generation, we've gone from educated to functionally illiterate. And, all this guy Schwarzenegger can do is demagogue the issue. Otherwise, he is devoid of ideas!

It is nice right now, 72 and should be quite a few degrees cooler later today than it was yesterday. :-)
It was high 90s all over the silicon valley area yesterday. Thank God for the marine layer. ;-)

I just found out that the Ask Jeeves guy is running for governor. I've missed weeks worth of jokes at his expense. Bummer, man.

Instead it reminded me no one had thought it noteworthy when Rob Reiner, the actor and director, had managed in several solo editorial board visits to talk, knowledgeably and passionately, about his proposals for early childhood education and assistance programs.Of course he was passionate about it, dummy. Guess who got appointed, by Doofus Davis, to run that huge entitlement program and feed at the public trough when the moron voters supported it....that's right, Meathead himself.
