I never caught the "magic"of Springsteen.

Me neither, although I suppose he puts on a great show live, from all reports.

In the 70's, one of my musically-inclined friends convinced me that Springsteen's album "Born to Run" was the greatest thing since sliced bread. So, I went out and bought it. I listened to it 3 or 4 times, trying to convince myself that it really was a great album. Couldn't. It went to the back of the rack, never to be played again. "Tenth Avenue Freeze Out." Yeah, like, wow, man, really cool. Not. Certain people are going to be pushed by the media, since they are considered "hip" and "cool".
