Well, you are very much appreciated here --don't let a few malcontents change your attitude or cheapen your efforts. I have always been very much appreciative of the service men--the courage and the willingness to serve is certainly something that I would have a hard time doing.
I always cherish what Eleanor Roosevelt once said "You gain srength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you stop to look fear in the face. You must do that which you think you cannot do."
Every serviceman has this unique ability to stare fear in the face. Thanks for your service and in my eyes you are a hero.

Thank you. Actually, I don't really qualify as a 'hero,' I just hope that I can say with a straight face (to paraphrase "Saving Private Ryan") that I "earned this..."
