I don't expect you to rehash your defense of Charles I. But I would be interested in your response to the article at the top of this thread.

I disapprove the murder of political opponents because it bypasses all non-violent forms of protest and obstruction. Every peaceful means should be tried before the resort to force.
Even then, the use of force should be proportionate to the evil inflicted by the executive. For example, Hitler, Stalin, and Lenin could have been justly assasinated because there were no means of non-violent obstruction available, but more importantly because their own crimes were of a capital nature.
