Does any know or can recommend any voice recognition software that will work for a word processor or MS word? Viavoice by Microsoft, but I'm not sure if it works for everything. We're still training ours.
Check the Kim Komando home page. There should be a link for that kind of software. She was talking about that stuff on her radio show this week.

I am using it in the Microsoft envoy spur recognition system to write this post. I will he'd leave the tears behind in order to display how well it works. buying haven't used it in quite some time ended up by his that my voice may have to change to in that entire role. So the system is not quite used to my price. by remember it working much better before.
I could go bake in retrain it. there doesn't seem to be much below point to that. It is not the most practical way of typing it I have found. I did a lot of extraneous words thrown in when Everett any noise arises in my room. Video is also more difficult to compose your thoughts in this fashion.
Stability it works appraising leave well. I must admit it is fighting to cede your words appear on the screen as you say them.

I just hope they don't allow computers to take us litterally.
I can see it now...a guy drops his glass of coffe and says......AhhhhW CRAP.......and the computer complies.

To close down our computers, we just say the command "go to sleep." What software do you use?
I want this capability. I use MS Office XP's but it is limited to Office.

yeah sure, people yelling in the office at their puters will go over like a lead balloon.
Better try for retinal scan movement, less noisy.

Use the mouse.

yeah sure, people yelling in the office at their puters will go over like a lead balloon. That's already being done - I yell at mine constantly. Then again, chicks don't dig me. Oh well...

I hope you are right. I was told I could use voice commands on something I called the other day. I don't have a strong accent but the voice on the other end kept givng the wrong answers to my commands. After a few minutes I hung up, called back & punched in my commands the 'old fashioned way'.

Hey that's kind of cool; I could mumble something in the mic while I'm playing guitar and it would write "deep" lyrics for me. Hehe.

A few businesses have actually already implemented the 'voice command' software.
I absolutely hate having to speak commands into the phone. I'd much rather punch in the option number on the touchpad.

Say Goodbye To Your Mouse, Keyboard And Phone Number - Voice Control Is Finally Taking Over I wonder what playing FPS games would be like. Somehow I don't think voice control would work very well.
